Laura Bergés Saura


laurabergesLAURA Bergés Saura (lberges@filcat.udl.cat) is Assistant Professor in the Catalan Studies and Communication Department at Universitat de Lleida, where she teaches Ethics and Regulation of Communication and Structure of Communication Systems. She has been associated professor and post-doc researcher in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), where she has been responsible for the unit Communication Enterprise Management. She obtained her PhD at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with a thesis on Economic and Financial Analyses of TVE, Antena 3 TV, Telecinco and Canal + and their Business Environment:  Commodification of Spanish Broadcasting and holds an MA in Economic Journalism (UAB-House of Journalism). She has also collaborated with the Catalan Broadcasting Authority with research and consultancy in the field of broadcasting economy and audio-visual activities. Laura is also a member of the EuroMedia Research Group, integrated by 21 researchers from 19 European countries, with whom she has published several books (www.euromediagroup.org). She is the author of many academic articles and book chapters with Spanish, European and Latin American publishers in the field of economy of communication, communication policies and community media. Laura is a member of the International Consolidated Research Group on Communication and Culture Studies. She has also participated in research programs funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in Spain and has collaborated with different community media in Barcelona.
